The "human skin" of this imitation human leather phone case is a kind of artificial skin made of two layers of silicon called epidermis and subcutaneous tissue. It can be made by impregnating different pigments according to different skin colors. The electrode layer composed of stretchable conductive filaments acts as a sensor. Marc Teyssier is not the first to get involved in this particular smartphone peripheral technology. He also participated in the research and development of MobiLimb" robotic finger, which can be turned into a mobile phone accessory only after being inserted into the USB port.
